Nine Great Reasons To Include Our Artists’ Workshop ‘Viewpoints’ Show In Your Plans This Weekend

After much anticipation and preparation, the doors will open to the 2023 edition of our Artists’ Workshop Spring Show & Sale at 5:00 this afternoon (Friday, April 21st) at Grace Westminster Church, 505 10th Street E in Saskatoon.

Here are nine great reasons why you might like to include this event in your plans this weekend.

Variety:  Nine original artists working in nine different mediums: oil, acrylic, ink, watercolour, textiles, collage, pastels, watercolour batiks, and mixed media.

Creativity: Dozens of original works on show and on offer, including nine unique works of art representing nine different viewpoints inspired by the color palette for the 2023 show logo.

Continuity: A strong track record of bringing art to the community. Now in its 33rd year, Artists’ Workshop is one of the longest continuously operating artists’ groups in Saskatoon.

Expertise: Several members of the group teach art classes in the community or online  – for Hue’s Art Supplies, Remai Modern, USask Community Arts, and more.

Initiative: In addition to the annual group show, members actively present their work individually and collectively in community group shows, special online events, and through various commercial galleries.

Contributions: Members frequently support initiatives of worthy community causes by donating original works of art to fund raising events.

Growth: Member artists constantly stretch and expand their skills through independent study with other artists in workshop and mentoring settings.

Enthusiasm: Artists’ Workshop members deliver great work – and love to talk art and share their perspectives on the importance of art in daily life.

Joy: Members of the group enjoy each other’s company. Their collegiality and congeniality is contagious.  Come see for yourself!
